With the roll out of our new web site we would like to give a synopsis of the Sorn Inn's last year and the start of 2009.

In 2008 we won and continued to be recognised for our quality and standards achieved since our inception year of 2002.  

Early 2008 Craig received a Gold Medal from the Scottish Hotel Awards for "Outstanding Cuisine at Dinner", following on from this the AA awarded for the 6th year 2 Rosettes for his food which is now every year since we began, a sign of consistent quality of good food.

 In September 2008, Michelin Eating Out in Pubs was published and awarded the Sorn Inn a newly inspired accolade 'Inspectors Choice', only one of three in Scotland

It was also appreciated that other UK respected guides being Hardens and The Good Food Guide took time out to comment us in their 2008 editions.

Now into 2009 we began seriously in January when we retained our Michelin "Bib Gourmand" for the 4th consecutive year in the 'Red Guide'.  Late February at the Scottish Hotel Awards we were again recognised twice by receiving the awards for 'Simply Great Steaks' and 'Hospitality & Welcome'.

We are hoping that the rest of the year will be as enjoyable with additional recognition to be achieved from the AA, Michelin Pub Guide and Scotland The Best later on in the year.
